AI compliance. Built in.
Dutira is an AI compliance and governance platform for regulated businesses. It gives employees access to approved AI models while compliance teams control policies, monitor usage and maintain audit-ready evidence.
Why we exist
Employees in regulated firms are already using AI — often in browser tabs and personal accounts the firm has never approved, with client data the firm cannot see leaving. Banning it rarely works; ignoring it is worse.
We built Dutira so firms do not have to choose between productivity and control. One governed workspace for employees; one system for the policies, training, attestations, approvals, monitoring and evidence that compliance, risk and the board need.
The FCA has said it will rely on existing frameworks rather than new AI-specific rules. That puts the onus on firms to show how their current obligations are met when AI is involved. Dutira is designed to make that showable.
The name
Three ideas that regulated finance runs on, in one word.

DU
Duty
The duty firms owe their customers.
The FCA’s Consumer Duty requires firms to deliver good outcomes for retail customers — products that meet their needs, fair value, communications they can understand and support that works. Every AI interaction a firm allows should be one it would be comfortable explaining to a customer.

Trust and lineage
Knowing where every answer came from.
Trust is earned with a record: which policy was applied, which model answered, what was masked, who approved it and when. Data lineage and a tamper-evident audit trail let a firm show its work — to its board, its auditors and its regulator.

Resilience
A nod to DORA and operational resilience.
The EU’s Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) has applied to EU financial entities since January 2025, and UK firms have their own operational resilience rules. AI services are now part of the technology firms depend on, so they belong in resilience planning: mapped, tested, and with a plan if a provider changes or fails.

How we work
We describe what the product does today, label what is planned, and never claim regulatory approval or guaranteed outcomes.
Dutira supports a firm’s own compliance arrangements. Decisions — approvals, investigations, applicability of rules — stay with qualified people.
Governance should run inside everyday work, so the evidence is produced as a by-product, not assembled the week before an audit.
Content is encrypted, monitoring is pseudonymised, and reading anyone’s conversation needs a permission and a recorded reason.
Dutira is an independent technology solution designed to support AI governance and oversight. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. Use of the platform does not guarantee regulatory compliance.
